Saturday Morning Recap
May 7-13, 2017
Things I’m reading
Believe it or not, just finished reading “Awaken The Giant Within” by Tony Robbins for the first time. Having watched numerous videos, interviews, read countless articles, and absorbed everything Tony Robbins I could, I felt it was time to sit down and give the book a read.
It did not disappoint. If you’re looking for a great introduction to how and why we do what we do, you owe it to yourself to give this one a read.
What I’m watching
I found myself recently watching The Founder and I have to say I was disappointed in it. While the story of McDonald’s and Ray Kroc is an interesting one, the movie left me feeling like something was missing. If you really want to learn the story, I’d advise finding another way. Go and check out “Grinding It Out“.
Things that are keeping me busy
Catching up on life. After embarking on my Ethiopian adventure, I found myself coming home to a whirlwind of work to do and people to see…most important my son who didn’t make the trip with my wife and I.
What I’m listening to
Oh, Etta James. Didn’t really spend too much time filling my mind with audio books and files this week. Instead, I quietly filled the background with on one of the best voices of any generation.
Best article I read online
Yes, not my typical website, however, having just come off traveling, I couldn’t help but chuckle at the things the author discusses. For example, Taking a Cliché Photo, Spending Too Much Time on Electronics, and my personal favorite, Taking Too Many Photos.
The author and I are in agreeance that less phones = better vacation.
Quote I’m digging
“Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live”
And there we go. The Saturday Morning Recap all in one tiny package.
‘Till next week,
