Saturday Morning Recap
May 14-20, 2017
Things I’m reading
After nearly 2 years of anticipation, I was finally able to pick up Book 2 of my favorite comic book series, Saga. Whether or not you enjoy comics doesn’t particularly matter, you’ll enjoy Saga. It has action, humor, is well written, and unbelievably illustrated.
Read it now because it’s just a matter of time before it becomes its own television show.
What I’m watching
I only made time for 2 hours of “watch time” this week and I spent it seeing Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2. While I’d like to say I enjoyed it, I simply can’t. For a full review of the movie and my reasons check out my other site here.
Things that are keeping me busy
I am in the planning stages up an upcoming Podcast I am launching. I’ve been extremely busy working it into my schedule so that once it launches, I can give you guys the best of everything that I have.
I’ve hammered out the name of it and am now working on the finer details such as format, length, flow, etc…
What I’m listening to
Tragedy struck two days ago when Chris Cornell passed away. He and his music influenced many generations with mine being at the top of the list. His death is a personal awakening. As each day passes, another icon from my teenage years falls victim to the one thing that gets us all…
This revelation has been a combination of living in reality and stepping outside of the body all at the same time. To say I’m shocked is a giant understatement. I’ll be digging into this one a little further this week.
Best article I read online
I read a really great article over at Positivelypresent.com entitled “How To Distance Yourself From Negativity”. When you have a spare moment, you must check out this one. Dani (the owner of the blog) dissects a few simple ways that will propel your life in a positive way. While not all are easy to implement and some take more time than others, each is instrumental in achieving great results.
Don’t miss this one.
Quote I’m digging
“And if you don’t believe the sun will rise, stand alone and greet the coming night in the last remaining light.”
And there we go. The Saturday Morning Recap all in one tiny package.
‘Till next week,
