Saturday Morning Recap

Saturday Morning Recap

March 26, – April 1, 2017

Things I’m reading

Poke The Box – Seth Godin

I didn’t think it was humanly possible but Seth Godin has done it. An entire book was designed around the notion of forgetting everything else and just doing whatever it is you desire to do. No fear, no second-guessing, and nothing holding you back.

Highly recommend.

What I’m watching

You know that I tap into my inner child regularly. I have been continuing to binge watch (and by that I mean entirely too much of) Star Wars Clone Wars. Yes, it’s animated, and yes, it’s made for kids but dammit, is it good.

Things that are keeping me busy

As always, my son keeps me running around from the moment he wakes up until the moment he goes to bed. Even then I still can’t stop thinking about him. I don’t expect this will change anytime soon.

What I’m listening to

I’ve been paying particular attention to the Tim Ferris Podcast as of late. I’ve always been a big fan of Tim’s and lately, his content has been outstanding. If you haven’t checked out an episode, do so over here.

Best article I read online

Flow Doesn’t Lead to Mastery – Scott Young.

A brilliant article explaining why learning for fun and learning to learn often lead to two very different outcomes. Scott talks about musicians claiming that “This drive to practice did not come from the best musicians simply enjoying deliberate practice more. Rather it came from their desire to get better.”

Quote I’m digging

My wife created an amazing quote this week. She didn’t even tell me about it, I found it while stalking her on Instagram.

“It don’t work if I don’t work” – Sarah Scott

Blown away friends, blown away. Quote it once and quote it often.

And there you have it, the Saturday Morning Recap all neat and tidy.

‘Till next week,
